"I Saw Three Ships" and "O Little Town of Bethlehem" are featured in a collection of various artists on the 2007 release titled Jazz Christmas - iTunes Essentials. The collection includes some of the finest in the history of jazz including Ella Fitzgerald, Vince Guaraldi, Duke Ellington, Bill Evans and Diana Krall, just to name a few. Search iTunes for "Jazz Christmas" and the compilation will pop up.
New release, Sugar Shack, is now available! This is Rick's first CD containing mostly originals since 2001. Features bassist Paul Thompson, drummer Thomas Wendt, and percussionist George Jones. Also includes cover versions of "Eleanor Rigby" by the Beatles and "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by 80's pop band Tears for Fears.

Mid-week patio jazz will happen again this summer at Palomino downtown, Four Gateway Center, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, 6 to 9 PM. Rick will be joined by some of the region's finest jazz instrumentalists including Eric Defade, Eric Emmons, Paul Thompson and Eric Suseoff. Memorial Day through Labor Day. Rick will be joined by some of the region's finest jazz instrumentalists as well as vocalist Lori Thee. Please visit their site and spread the word. Over the summer Rick recorded two new CDs that feature Paul Thompson (bass), Thomas Wendt (drums) and George Jones (percussion). The first is a new holiday jazz trio CD scheduled for release sometime this fall. It is entitled Snowriding and features an original with the same name. Full of fresh new arrangements of Christmas classics, it will be a great companion to your holiday parties. The other new release is an original trio recording entitled Sugar Shack. Along with two tracks written for his children, it includes a Latin-based version of "Eleanor Rigby" by the Beatles and a half-time funk version of "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by 80’s pop band Tears for Fears. End of Summer Patio Party, On Satruday, September 2nd, Rick will be joined by vocalist Lori Thee, percussionist George Jones and saxophonist Jay Willis for an end of summer Lobsterfest at Pines Tavern (724-625-3252).
